Midas XL200 help?

topic posted Thu, March 2, 2006 - 7:45 PM by  Bdass
Anybody have a channel chart for a XL200?
I'll be mixing a band at SXSW in Austin, TX in mid March with only 20 minutes or less to mic the stage and set up the console, NO sound check, and I've never seen the XL 200 before.
The more I know about a console the easier it is to adapt .
Thanks

rest assured that the XL200 is a very simple board to get around, yet very functional... nice sounding preamps and musical EQ, plenty of aux sends. similar to a Heritage, but stripped down. they're all over the place in Europe.
a 20 minute changeover is lengthy by festival standards! sound check at a festival? bah! enjoy the adrenaline rush and have fun! I've been doing plenty of high-profile festivals with a 7 piece band, 1 guitar tech, and no monitor engineer for 3 years now (yes, i'm crazy!)... it's nerve-wracking, but exhilarating!!
    good luck!
